Front Side Bus(FSB)

Front side bus "is the name of the AMD launched K7 CPU concept, but has been all mistaken this noun is but another name for intel. What we call the FSB is CPU connected with the motherboard speed, this concept is based on a digital pulse signal based on the shock velocity, while the front side bus speed is the speed of data transmission, the data transmission bandwidth depends on all the while transmitting the data width and transmission frequency, i.e. data bandwidth = ( bus frequency x data ) / 8. The current PC machine can reach the front bus frequency is 266MHz, 333MHz, 400MHz, 533MHz, 800MHz, 1066MHz, 1333MHz, front side bus frequency is higher, representing the CPU and memory transfers data between a larger amount of CPU function.
FSB = Front Side BUS
Line
FSB means CPU and Beiqiao between the chip data transmission bus, also known as the front side bus.
For P4, FSB = CPU * 4 FSB frequency.
This parameter refers to the front bus frequency, it is a processor and motherboard data exchange channel, since it is a channel, which is the bigger the better, now the mainstream in the highest FSB is 1333M, 800M, 533M, 400M downwardly and 333M several, their price is decreasing.
The FSB is most easy overclocking and one of the most common methods. FSB CPU and other parts of the system is connected to the speed. It also affects the memory clock, that is memory speed. In general, the FSB and memory clock both higher is better. However, in some cases it is not established. For example, let the memory clock run faster than FSB does not really help. Similarly, in the AthlonXP system, let FSB run at higher speeds and forced the memory and FSB dyssynchrony ( use will be discussed later in the memory dividers ) on the properties of the block will be run at lower FSB and synchronous memory under a much more serious.
FSB in Athlon and P4 system relates to a different method. On the Athlon side, it is DDR bus, means that if the actual clock is 200MHz, that is running under 400MHz. On the P4, it is "four core", so if the actual clock is the same as the 200MHz, on behalf of the 800MHz. This is the Intel marketing strategy, because of general users, higher is better. Intel" FSB four core" is actually a real advantages, it is less performance loss allows P4 chip with the memory synchronization operation. Each clock higher cycle speed makes it more chance for memory cycle and CPU cycle overlap, it is equivalent to the better performance
FSB decided CPU operating speed, FSB can be achieved by overclocking to improve!
FSB high computer speed will be improved!
